The Strip:
This 4.2-mile stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard is the heart of the city’s tourist scene. Why, may you ask? Well, it’s lined with some of the world’s most famous casinos, hotels, and attractions, including the Bellagio and the MGM Grand! So, take a stroll down the Strip to sightsee and witness the colorful lights and sounds of Vegas at night, or visit during the day to see some of the world-class shops and restaurants!
The Bellagio Fountains:
Second, on our list is a sightseeing gem located right in front of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino! These beautiful fountains are a Las Vegas icon, shooting water high into the air in a coordinated dance set to music, creating a spectacular display that draws crowds day and night. Be sure to catch a show during your visit; we suggest you don’t miss it!
The High Roller Observation Wheel:
Coming in third, standing at 550 feet tall, is the High Roller Observation Wheel! It is the world’s tallest observation wheel making it an obvious sightseeing gem. The wheel offers stunning sights of the Las Vegas skyline, including the Strip and the surrounding desert. Tickets are available for day or night rides, and private cabins are also available for groups.
The Hoover Dam:
Our next sightseeing suggestion is located about an hour’s drive from Las Vegas! The Hoover Dam is a marvel of engineering. It was built during the Great Depression and is still one of the largest hydroelectric power plants in the world. Visitors can take guided tours of the dam, explore the visitor center, and even walk across the top of the dam itself.
The Neon Museum:
Did you know that Las Vegas has a rich history of neon signs and advertising? What better way to pay homage to the city’s past than preserving that history by collecting and displaying iconic signs? The Neon Museum even offers visitors guided tours of the museum’s outdoor collection, which includes signs from some of the city’s most famous casinos and businesses.
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area:
Another Las Vegas Sightseeing Suggestion is just west of the city at Red Rock Canyon! This beautiful desert park offers stunning views of red sandstone cliffs, rock formations, and hiking trails. It’s a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the Strip and experience the natural beauty of the surrounding area.
The Mob Museum:
Las Vegas has a colorful history of organized crime, and the Mob Museum tells the story of that history! Through exhibits, artifacts, and interactive displays, visitors can explore the museum’s three floors! The museum even includes exhibits on famous mobsters like Al Capone and Lucky Luciano.
The Stratosphere Tower:
