Trying new local foods is arguably one of the best parts of traveling to new destinations. The Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival makes trying a bunch of different new foods easy and fun! Food trucks often sell some of the tastiest food you’ll ever eat. This event takes place over 3 days in April, has numerous food trucks present (in 2021 there were 26 different trucks!), vendors like Rentko Catering, a beer lineup, and live music! This is an absolutely must-attend event for anyone who likes to eat, listen to music, and have fun! The best part? Admittance is free! More money for more food!

Carolina Country Music Fest

Calling all country music fans! This is one of the most anticipated festivals in Myrtle Beach! This event takes place over 4 days in June and features some of the top names in country music. The venue spans 18 acres and is located along the beach! There aren’t many festivals that provide the opportunity to listen to your favorite country artists and play on the beach. Plus, it is near so many restaurants, you’re sure to find whatever sounds good at that moment!

Sun Fun Festival

This is a family-friendly festival that takes place in downtown Myrtle Beach. Here you will find a parade, all sorts of fun family activities, and vendors selling food and souvenirs! The Sun Fun Festival is celebrating its 66th anniversary this year, needless to say, it is very popular. The best part? This festival is free! Free entry and free activities for the family while you’re on vacation? Count us in!

Popular Myrtle Beach Restaurants

Myrtle Beach hosts some of the coolest and most fun restaurants you’ll go to. Here we will go over just a few, there are way too many to list! First, RipTydz Oceanfront Grille & Rooftop. Oceanfront and rooftop are not an understatement here. This restaurant is right on the beach, features 3 different dining areas (main dining area, one with an oceanfront view, and a boulevard dining area) and a rooftop bar with live music nightly and outdoor games like cornhole and giant Jenga! Besides all that, it has magnificent food and drinks! Next is Wicked Tuna; this restaurant offers spectacular ocean views and even better seafood. Spend a day on the beach then walk right up to Wicked Tuna to enjoy a specialty app with your travel companions in the air conditioning and watch the other beachgoers. Finally, Wise Guys Bar and Grill. This is a super-cool old-timey gangster-themed bar and restaurant whose mission is to bring back class to Myrtle Beach by utilizing its unique atmosphere, killer service, and outstanding food! They have an extensive craft beer menu and live music Monday-Saturday! If none of these already have your mouth watering, there is no doubt that Myrtle Beach has another restaurant that will tickle your fancy. 

Myrtle Beach Activities

The action never stops in Myrtle Beach, as there are an array of activities waiting for you to try! It isn’t called the mini-golf capital of the world for nothing! On every corner, you will notice immaculate mini-golf courses that take you back in time to the dinosaur age, or pretend you are in a real-life Indiana Jones movie! All courses are fun and kid-friendly.

Are you a beach lover that also loves the adrenaline of water sports? Every mile there are booths set up on the beach that cater to your watersports needs. Each locally-owned business has a range of services but the main ones you will find are banana boating, parasailing, and jet skiing! There are two local favorite spots that we recommend, Aloha Watersports and New Wave Water Sports!

If you are looking for a local brewery check our Crooked Hammock in Barefoot landing, and yes it is kid-friendly. Here you can tour the brewery and sample a few or all of the brews. You can also take a seat at the swinging hammocks and dine for the night on delicious foods! There is even corn hole and other backyard games for the kids!

If you are looking for nightlife fun, check out Broadway at the Beach! Here you can find the sky wheel that lights up the whole city, or you can dance the night away at Oz and Malibu’s, the local nightclub! A brand new nightclub, Hideaway, partnered with the local gentlemen’s club, Masters, as a speakeasy type bar that is classy, and chic!
