Dana Point, California
First up on the list; is beautiful, sunny Dana Point, California! This would be a fantastic place to take dads who love to golf! The weather in Dana Point in June is simply amazing, averaging around 70-74℉ with little to no rain. How cool would it be to go golfing on the coast where the deep blue ocean provides a great contrasting backdrop to the sharp green of the course? Imagine walking the green in perfect weather while you work your way through the back nine, cold drink in hand, the breeze at your back, you look over just in time to see dad tee off and send the ball on a perfect drive. Sounds like a flawless Father’s Day! If dad is a big golfer, let him know there are nearly 40 golf courses in and around Dana Point that are ripe for the picking! One of the most popular is Monarch Beach Golf Links. This golf course is “challenging yet playable” and is oceanfront with beautiful scenery. This course also runs daily deals! Branson, Missouri
Did you know that Branson, Missouri is world-famous for its music shows and attractions? Branson’s live shows and attractions are bountiful and incredibly varied. There is a live show here that will undoubtedly suit anyone’s tastes. However, Branson is also very well known for one of the most quintessential “dad activities”… fishing! Table Rock Lake is arguably Branson’s most famous lake. It spans 79 miles and is great for swimming, boating, and fishing! Lake Taneycomo runs through the heart of Branson and takes the title of the most diverse fishing lake in the US! A permit is required to go fishing here in Missouri, but anglers from all over the world visit Branson to try to snag some of the wide variety of fish that inhabit these lakes! Taking dad to Branson for Father’s Day could go a little something like this: waking up early in the morning, having breakfast at one of the many fantastic restaurants, you then pack up a cooler with snacks and drinks and head to the shore. Here you can hop on a boat, or post up in the perfect spot on the shoreline. The day is warm, in the mid 80’s℉, the sun sparkles off of the deep blue water, as you and dad cast out your lines you hear the gentle waves running up on shore.
